  3. Eight chapter templates containing newsletter designs

  5. The intended user is the novice using Ventura Publisher without a
  6. great deal of typographical or page design experience. Designed
  7. to provide the new user with a complete newsletter, the kit
  8. manual outlines all procedures required to turn word processor
  9. files into a complete, attractive publication. 
  10. For the experienced user, the style sheets provide instant
  11. design, which may be quickly modified to suit a variety of needs.

  13. This is the first complete version; a beta version has been
  14. previously released to Canada Remote Systems of Toronto.
  15.  
  16. This provides a new approach to template collections. First it
  17. ties the series of templates to one application: in this case,
  18. the production of a newsletter. As well, it provides a range of
  19. tools -- for example, copyfitting techniques & suggestions for
  20. printing -- that go outside the mandate of the layout software.
  21. The kit finally provides a total solution for the user's needs,
  22. tying in the world of software with the traditions of printing
  23. and typography.

  25. The program requires that the user have Ventura Publisher 2.0 and
  26. have a suitable printer. The styles are developed specifically
  27. for a PostScript printer, but may be transferred to non-
  28. PostScript devices.

  30. The program requires the same amount of RAM and disk space as
  31. Ventura Publisher. The hypertext manual requires a monitor with
  32. 80-column mode.

  34. Load the files through Ventura and print them from the floppy
  35. drive. Type DOC and press ENTER to read the on-disk manual.

  37. Registration fee is $29.95 US plus $2.00 postage.

  39. An attractive 75-page manual accompanies the diskette and is
  40. provided upon registration.
